We Plan a Different Kind of Garden Sharing for 2020

Garden Walk Buffalo will not be held as a two-day walking tour this year. Gardens Buffalo Niagara and the Garden Walk Buffalo committee are planning a different kind of garden sharing – transforming the 2020 Garden Walk to adapt to these unprecedented times.

In light of current national and local social distancing restrictions, Garden Walk Buffalo will become Buffalo Garden Views: Sharing in July, a "virtual garden month." Each week will be packed with events that you can experience from home on social media, and when appropriate, in person. Garden Walk Buffalo helped build Buffalo’s reputation as an urban gardening capital. Each week of July 2020 will be packed with events that you can experience from home, and where appropriate, in person. Here are just a few of the ideas in development.

  • Front Yard Garden Strolls

  • Gardener Interviews

  • Backyard Video Tours

  • Gardeners’ Photos and Videos

  • Live Garden Experts

  • Garden Stories

  • Games & Giveaways

  • New shopping experiences

Gardens Buffalo Niagara is committed to connecting our community through garden sharing and has worked hard to develop a summer filled with activities that are appropriate for social distancing, keeping our community safe. Buffalo Garden Views will include daily opportunities to safely enjoy the region’s gardens throughout July.
