Covid-19 Considerations
Gardens Buffalo Niagara (GBN) is committed to providing visitors, gardeners, shoppers, and volunteers with safe, rewarding experiences that adhere to the various regulations and recommendations set by local, state, and federal governments.
GBN asks for everyone’s kind cooperation and support by following New York State’s social distancing and sanitation guidelines. As the 2021 garden season progresses, policies and practices may change. We ask for your patience during this challenging time as we all learn to live, work, and enjoy and share our gardens in new ways.
Required for all garden event visitors:
Face coverings
Physical distancing
Adherence to all Department of Health guidelines
Domestic travelers to New York State who have been vaccinated no longer have to quarantine or test out within 90 days of their full vaccination.
Please check back here as policies and procedures may change.
For registered gardeners on Open Gardens, Garden Walk Buffalo and East Side Garden Walk:
In order to abide by state and local Covid-19 related regulations, below are suggestions for this year – which we hope will ease your mind and make your garden visitors feel at ease as well. Social distancing and face coverings will be required by all attendees, as well as strict adherence to all applicable Department of Health guidelines.
Consider marking one-way paths through your garden
Post signs with pandemic protocols (these will be emailed to you before your event)
Consider marking 6’ distances on paths and driveways
Have hand sanitizer available for visitors
Only allow ten or less people in a garden at a time
Limit time spent with visitors
Do not touch anything visitors may have touched
Have visitors fill out a contact tracing form (emailed to you closer to the date of your event) if still required.
