Urban Farm Day Tour

FREE, Featuring 16 area Urban Farms

Amid the challenges of 2020, there were things to celebrate. More time in our gardens. More interest in growing our own food. In that spirit, in 2021 we'll celebrate our first Urban Farm Day. ou’ll chat with gardeners and enjoy a wide range of farms and activities including entire yards given over to gardens, pizzas cooked on site from the produce, a u-pick worm farm, and culturally significant crops grown with and for neighbors – vegetables like Hmong red cucumbers and Congolese eggplants.

There will be talks on specialties like raising chickens and harvesting honey. UB’s Food Systems Planning and Healthy Communities Lab (Food lab) research group, which studies how people-led local government policy can enhance urban agriculture, will be on site to share updates on their work in Buffalo.

For details, including garden and talk locations as plans firm up, visit UrbanFarmDay.com closer to the event, or sign up for our eNewsletter at the bottom of this page.
