Every garden (and building) has a story
The Buffalo Architecture Foundation’s Garden Stories—part of its Building Stories multimedia series exploring Buffalo’s remarkable built environment—is a special partnership with Gardens Buffalo Niagara, capturing how gardening shapes Buffalonians’ lives and preserving them online.
For today’s BAF spotlight, we’re sharing a West Side garden on Auburn Avenue in the heart of the Elmwood Village, a Garden Walk hotspot. A self-described “micro-yard,” it features found objects, beds of stargazer lilies and a stunning, multi-tiered fish pond.
If you’re a Garden Walk gardener within the tour footprint, we invite you to tell us about your garden’s story and help BAF and GBN “celebrate Buffalo’s unique urban spaces,” from the rooftops down to your flower beds and victory gardens.
